In Davey’s talk, I like the project which is Looking for Alice, in addition, learning how you communicate with your subject matter through her talk. She mentioned: “The more you shoot, the more start seeing it.”, I think because it’s the start to get into depth and get familiar with what is your direction, and is always the process to approach knowing each other. Moreover, light is the key element of photography, it connects to the result of image, with different condition of light, it would influence the sequence of image, impacting on its narrative. I like the image which Alice with her grandmother, it showing the sensibility of how her grandmother thought about Alice as a Down’s syndrome patient, but the image also shows Davey’s perspective as Alice’s mother, although it would be the most difficult issue in Alice’s life, I know Alice could face it, she’s got the full love from her family, which would make her stronger enough to overcome the fear, not only her, all children have an invisible power, they know the tricky thing adult’s got, they can feel your sensation even if you would not tell them how terrible you feel, because their purity and innocent, they would not know how hard it is, they just know how the parents feel. The talk is such as an encouragement to push me using film and see how my images look like by shooting film. Maybe, this could be my consideration of next project, or other ideas or experiments to fall the world of film camera.
