After the fiction project, I start to think learning different book making, and this workshop was shown on the Google search when I was doing research regarding Japanese binding, so I look through what is the workshop about, generally they hold one or two workshops per month, which I think it would be interesting and worth go to. Even this workshop is not required learning experience, but it is difficult for me, which I’ve done some mistakes, accidentally cutting off the book cloth without leaving 3mm away from the corner of board while making a hard cover, lucky that the finished book doesn’t look terrible at all. The tutor said to me I’ve some experiences and would remember to avoid the mistake when I do the same processes next time. However, I realize that making book is fascinating for me to experiment more about the world of handmade book, it would not stop me to develop more about making book even with making mistakes.
