Professional contexts 2 – Introduction to SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

Today we looked at SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), SEO is the way we pop out from different site, which we would be able to get search ranking as well as the way you look to find through Google, or other search engines. Because Google mainly is taken out from the world, we would focus on Google basically. Google does look what you are doing and tell other people your stuff any relevant so other audience or clients would find the right person. By talking in to depth, we knew that there are several methods to improve getting attraction. Such as title tags, title description, alt text, content of website, page heading and key words.

Those needs to be relevant on what it is about and it should be specific so that Google knows you are the right person. Other we could do are making links, for example, connecting with social media, popular blogs, larger business and source magazines, linking own site to others, not to ‘buy’ links from SEO companies.

This is another opportunity to sell yourself in modern days via technology, but I would try both traditional and digital, which I think it could extend more and spread my works wider. Even if curators and galleries are not my main audience, I would sill attempt to show them my personal works, I don’t want to stay in the same area because I get tired easily which is horrible sometimes, but I do need to do less important thing to escape for a while from my professional industry then back to the original position. Text is helpful on searching and I think it should be specific and relevant, still need to figure out how to put all key words in a clear way which my practical process should improve. In addition, the social media definitely is useful which allows you to put hashtags, well maybe this is another way to which customers could easily find you, After this session, I start to think my website name, I don’t like doing ordinary way which directly put my name on before photography, it would be boring and hardly to remember as client’s point of view I guess, even I used ‘In my room’ as the name of website but it looked a bit silly, so at the moment, I am working on the branding name which might fit to myself and represent me.
